WTB: 1977 woodgrain gauge bezel
I'm looking for a 1977 woodgrain gauge bezel, non a/c. Can have it shipped to a US address if it's easier.

Re: WTB: 1977 woodgrain gauge bezel
You can always remove these from an original dash and re contact cement these to another dash. You just need a few old credit cards and something to break down the glue, like goo- gone or wd40. Just be careful to not get any on the woodgrain top side.... just wiggle the old credit card, or bondo applicator under the woodgrain slowly, and eventually you can take it off. I did this on my brother in laws blazer. Trevor

Re: WTB: 1977 woodgrain gauge bezel
Here's a nice non AC one on ebay without the woodgrain: http://www.ebay.com/itm/75-80-Chevy-...5cfba4&vxp=mtr
And here's a A/C one with woodgrain: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Nice-Origina...2fcd57&vxp=mtr Do you have one you could use the woodgrain from?

Re: WTB: 1977 woodgrain gauge bezel
I currently have the black one in my truck. I also have 2 woodgrain ones as well, but they are the 75-76 ones...same kind of wood design as the second link you posted. I'll be selling those eventually cause i'm looking for the specific wood design that was only made in 1977...like the pictures i posted at the top of this thread. I know there's some out there...just have to be patient until i find one or someone with one finds me.

Re: WTB: 1977 woodgrain gauge bezel
OK I see now, it's a little lighter and looks more like an oak grain.

Re: WTB: 1977 woodgrain gauge bezel
Yes you're right. The woodgrain door panels that i'm going to put in the truck are out of a 77, so i'm looking for a 77 gauge bezel that matches the specific wood design. I bought the two 75-76 woodgrain ones in haste, before i realized the difference.

Re: WTB: 1977 woodgrain gauge bezel
What do you think, is that a 77 bezel? It's not a non A/C one but it does look like the right grain. The other trim piece looks like the other style wood grain.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...&postcount=126 I don't think its for sale anyway, you've just got me looking out for them now. lol I'm almost thinking it would be easier to convert your truck over to A/C! haha

Re: WTB: 1977 woodgrain gauge bezel
No problem man! Are you planning on stripping the truck down? If so take a look at my build thread, I converted my firewall over to A/C.

Re: WTB: 1977 woodgrain gauge bezel
The 77' woodgrain was called "Chestnut". I have one of each non-AC and w/AC but not ready to let go of them at this time.

Re: WTB: 1977 woodgrain gauge bezel
Check truckandcarshop.com. View their online catalog and go to page 48 which is 40 of the actual catalog. If you have the black bezel, they have the overlay. Or, you can buy both brand new. Check it out and order a paper catalog, they have awesome parts!!

If your anal like me, you have to have the correct one. Unfortunately the 77 year was unique, and almost none exist.
