1963 chevrolet c10 truck

does anyone have advice on where they hooked up their ammeter gauge ??? i have dummy lights as standard but i want to add gauges just to have a back-up system,never did like dummy lights or trust them !!! i get a discharge if i turn lights on etc,but isnt gauge supposed to read a charge at some point ??? or when ???? please help,thanks !!

If you are going to add an acessory gauge a volt meter wood be easier to hook up, & more practical.

thanks for the thought but i already purchased this stuff and want to use it,so i need advice on where other have hooked theirs up and this no start with key unless i have a jumper from batt to horn relay,thanks

what is the actual difference in the alternator harness between warning light and gauges,how are they different ??? now i'm wondering if i was sent the wrong one ???
