question about drop spindles.

I was lookin at drop spindles and i see some go on trucks with 1' rotors and 1.25' rotor. which spindles would work on my 74 c10 and how can i tell?

Measure your rotor width.

Your '74 should have 1-1/4" wide rotors.
All you have to do is measure them to know for sure.

I think the 1" rotors started after the 1981 model year,... BUT,... you could also get 1-1/4" rotors from 81-87.
That's why you have to measure.

exactly, if you don't you will have the same prob I had some 15 years ago.. bought belltech drop spindls and had to swap to smaller brakes/rotors. (83 C10)

i just went to some auto parts sites(napa, rockauto etc) and all the rotors ive seen are 1.28 inches thick. so i guess its 1 1/4 spindles for me. but i'll still check em. i plan to get the spindles around income tax time. i ordered my ebay flip kit 2 days ago and thinkin whether to chop my stock springs(1 1/2 coils) or get summit 3 inch springs. im tryin to lower the truck soon. what should i do?

How low are planning on going...the more spring you can keep the bettor the ride will be.
Those springs your chopping are 30 years old.
