No, but if you're planning a barbecue, wedding, picnic, or other event, there's a world famous catering service in Forney

"Forney caterers"

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

That's down the road from the Cajun restuarant "Forney Gator's" too....

Seriously, I don't know what you want to spend, but Status is in Rockwall. And there's another Rod shop in Seagoville. I can't remember the name of it....maybe Killer Ridez or something. If you want a mom and pop type shop, try Dean's Collision in Rockwall.

I worked there 23 years ago when it was Deans Restoration. I used to stay watching Luther do lead work for hours off the clock.

Lead work. Now that is a lost art. Most old school body techniques are getting to be a lost art. I watched a tech shrink a quarter panel on a 68 Firebird last week at my shop. It had been over repaired years ago and I was amazed how he got it to come around.

Yeah I have been over to Sachse Rod Shop, they are way out of my league. I need an average mans paint job. I will try Deans and see what he has to say.

I dont't remember his handle but there is a member here that member info says he is a painter. He lives in Forney and has a 63/64 Riviera and has a build thread going on a 58ish truck he is building. Might look him up.

I would call Sachse Rod Shop at (972) 495-1557 and ask for Wayne, he can tell you every place in the DFW area that has done quality work over the last 30 years. I used to work there, top notch work, but out of most price ranges. There's another guy down near San Marcos who has done some good work, and some spotty work, but is cheap. Let me know if you need more details on him.

Luther still around there at all. I really need to go see him. He was a father figure for me in my late teens.
