WTB 69 Rear spring hangers
Hey,
I am in need of 69 rear spring hangers. I have the front, but the rear's are year specific. They are shorter than 71-72. I think even the 70's are slightly different. If someone has these it would make my day! |

Re: WTB 69 Rear spring hangers
Good point thanks! And don't worry I'll finish cleaning the ones I bought from you and sell them on here. Someone will get a good set of rear spring hangers for 71-72.

Re: WTB 69 Rear spring hangers
If the 2wd is leaf springs....does it matter if its 2wd or 4wd? I do have a 4wd and looking to get this frame done.

Re: WTB 69 Rear spring hangers
2wd will be shorter. You could use them but you would need lift to take up slack from the shorter hangers. The 4wd hang down past the frame where a 2wd is closer to the frame.

Re: WTB 69 Rear spring hangers
Then I definitely need 4x4.. I may have to start a new thread to add that in the title.

Re: WTB 69 Rear spring hangers
I had the same problem you did, 69 is one year only, 70 is one year only and 71 & 72 are the same. I have a 70 K5 and the frame is stamped in front of and behind the hanger to keep it from moving, see pic. As you can see the 71/72 hanger would not work for me. If your frame is flat where the hanger mounts you should consider using 71/72 hangers, much more solid. the holes are off but you can re-drill them to make it work. If your frame is like mine then you're screwed and will have to wait til someone comes along and can help. Unfortunately I became an expert in spring hangers (not by choice). Burb's, K5's and K10's all use the same hangers and 2wd and 4wd are different If your able to use 71/72 hangers by drilling new holes and you want to go that route let me know, I have a set that I bought before knowing what I know now about spring hangers.

Re: WTB 69 Rear spring hangers
Saw this tonight. Good deal and you lucked out, because they don't come around often.
