69 C10 6 lug Front Disc Help ASAP Please

Have until tomorrow night to finish this thing before I leave for work in San Antonio until Friday when we leave out for Goodguys.

What I've got, 69 c10. McGaughys drop spindles. 6 lug rotors from a board member p# 15649952 (1.25" thickness, 1.25" hat depth and metric 14/1.50 studs) 75 c10 calipers p# 18-4035. Wheel bearings inner p# pta-5 outer p# pta-3.

I think my problem involves the rotors, since they are a factory GM part. Anyone know the hat depth on their 6 lug disc conversion?

My caliper is too close to the rotor on the outer pad side. Not enough room to install the pad. It makes me think the aftermarket rotors have a deeper hat to locate it in the middle of the caliper.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

PS. By hat, I mean the distance between the wheel mounting surface and the pad clamping surface.

You need a factory 71-87 HD 5-lug rotor or aftermarket 6-lug rotors.

Your rotor is for the 88-98 Light Duty 2500 spindle.

Thanks Keith! That's what I was thinking, and afraid of. Guess I'll have to run 5 lug rallies up front this weekend or get lucky and find someone with a used set locally.
