Bagging w/ Stock LCA
I've searched all over this site and am getting a little worried. I want to try and avoid hacking up my stock LCAs.
I have a 5.5" front drop right now. 2.5" spindles + 3" Springs. From what I gather, if I don't cut the cups, aired out I'll be about where I'm at now... Is that right? If you cut the cup, do you cut it on the bottom where it makes contact with the LCA? How much can I cut? It's all PORTERBUILT components. Here's a pic of the truck as it sits now, I have a hard time believing I won't be lower than this aired out with bags in the front...

Re: Bagging w/ Stock LCA
I think the lower cup can be cut down to a total height of 1-5/8" tall to use with stock a-arms.
A straight edge across the a-arm will tell you for sure, how deep the spring pocket is.

Your truck should sit about as the same as this one below.

Re: Bagging w/ Stock LCA
You might not need to cut the cup if it was built for your LCA. The only ones people cut ar the generic bag mount cup that can be anything from 2"-3" tall. If the cup sits flush in the LCA, there is nothing to cut. Otherwise you can cut the cup short enough to match the LCA flush.

Re: Bagging w/ Stock LCA
What bags?
I have 2600's and I took them out as it sat at the height I wanted it to at like 20 psi.. I could run them without the lower cups, but they rubbed on the arm.. So cupped arms it'll have to be.. A lot easier than doing a z or the like. Posted via Mobile Device
