Need Wheel Help

Alright I am at the wheel decision phase of my project and I need some help. I really like old school salt flat style wheels but I have only seen a few of these wheels on our trucks. I have seen Keith's Hazel truck, Porterbuilt's black and white truck, and Geary's cream 69. I am looking at the Intro "Vintage" wheels but I can't seam to find any pictures of them on a vehicle. If anyone knows of any wheels that are this style and wants to make a suggestion, please keep in mind that I am a college student who has been saving up for a long time to buy wheels so I can't afford Billet Specialties or anything like that. Also I want to be able to see the brakes through the wheel so American Racing salt flats are out of the question. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks guys.

Re: Need Wheel Help

I saw a few pics in my Google searches. I just bought wheels and almost bought the American Racing version of this wheel. Great choice if you ask me.

See I was totally set on those too and then I realized that you can't see the brakes through them. And when you're running 3k worth of brakes, you wanna show them puppies off

Re: Need Wheel Help

The problem.
You want a $700-$1200 wheel for less money.

Rocket Wheels makes a set of "salt flat" style wheels for less money,... but you don't get the option of wheel backspacing and rim diameters, that you do with billet wheels.

I understand. What I meant to say is I can't afford the Billet Specialties wheels that are 1500 dollars a wheel. I think I can swing Intros but it's gonna take some saving up. I was just curious what other options there are for wheels styled like the one above. I'll check out the Rocket Wheels, thanks lolife

Re: Need Wheel Help

Let me start by saying, I follow your build and I know what kind of money you have put into your truck already. ..

Now, .. if you go out and buy a new tuxedo. Do you wear your old shoes?

My point is, your wheels will make or break your truck. It's like the finishing touch, it's what will really draw people in, .. or make them think, .. It's just another truck with <insert wheel name> wheels.

I try to get something different, much like the Intros you have posted above. Did you see Hector's post about the Intro Twisted Vistas in Houston ? I bet (if you like them) he'd go get them and ship them to you. You could get into them for $2k or so + shipping I bet.

That is a great deal. I think what I am actually going to do is order the wheels above but with the specs that I want. Those Vistas are sick but I want 22x10s on the back with 4" of BS. I've given it a ton of thought and I did some talking with Keith (N2billet) and decided that I can get my truck low enough with 22's on the back and I think they fill out the wheel well better then 20's. Also I can run basically any backspacing cause I am custom ordering a 9" from circle track. I think 22x10 and 20x8.5 Intro "Vintage" wheels with a brushed face and polished lip will set my truck apart from the rest. I was just hoping to find a couple more pictures of this style wheel on our trucks

Re: Need Wheel Help

What kind of price point on the 22" Intros with a brushed face? That sounds like a $1k + wheel to me.
