anyone with steering linkage problems on a bagged truck

cant seem to figure my steering linkage outer tie rods seem to long or center draglink hits crossmember. cpp tubular uppers and lowers cpp drop spindles. I contacted CPP and they were no help any suggestions?? I seem to have the correct inner and outer tie rod ends . Am i correct that the outer tier rod is shorter then the inner??

pictures help, sounds like you could have the center link flipped the wrong way maybe.

seems as thought my pitman arm is to small for the hole in the center link and my idler arm is to big for the hole in the center link ! Was there a differnce in any of these parts !! I mocked mine up against my dads 84 and i have the center link in the correct position

id post pics but its all apart currently ! I went through the receipts the guy game me when i bought the truck it says the idler is from a 67-82 truck so im assuming they were different and i cant seem to find what the pitman arm is off of but im assuming it incorrect also ! But we all know what happens when i assume LOL

I'll assume it's a 73-87,... but you never know.

Still going to have to have pics of the centerlink and the tie rod assembly to see what you are doing.
Anything else is just a guess.

I think you have the wrong inner tie rods.
(too long)
Do the outer tie rods fit your spindles?
Here's a picture of the correct 73-87 assembly,...

the outer tie rods fit the spindles they are the correct length ! im almost positive i have the wrong idler and pitman !! like i said the recei[t i have from the guy i bought it off of says the idler is for a 67-82 .
