some updates and a 4 inch front drop on the GMC
hey everyone. So, my engine that had been drinking a lot of water and mixing it in the oil is now running very good and strong. While cruising in first gear on my 3 speed sag, i can light up the rear end Only issue is now, there is a valvetrain ticking noise. not too loud, most noticable on engine deceleration in nuetral right before it gets to idle speed. tried over and over adjusting the valves and it wont fix it. so, since its not getting worse as of now, just going to run it and it runs awesome. I also replaced my front shocks this weeked. painted my rims and added trim rings. 2 tires, 2 rims, 4 trim rings and 4 center caps at 50 percent off day at the yard were 48 bucks!! also, i had a set of coil springs that i had cut years ago a total of 2 coils laying around. decided to try them out and it pretty low and it rides nice and feels much better in the corners as well. rear has a few leafs removed, sitting nice and raked how i like it. also finished welding my pipes 2.5" stainless exhaust with x pipe and 50 series flows. low and loud and lookin tough with the gmc front end....

I just got this.... I like how low it is, but there are no springs in the rear.

Had that same sound in an old car I had. Turned out to be a spun bearing.
