Now for a bunch of parts i have in boxes right now.

































Questions comment i appreciate it all, fram is sandblasted and coated in rustoleum and stock suspension drum brakes

the guy i bought the truck off of was actually my old automotive teacher he decided to include an old progress album that he put together of the from so here are some picture of the pictures to give you an idea of the shape of the frame

I been working on mine for 3 months and I still don't have a rolling chassic.

now i have to make some decisions here with the frame.

1. Disc brakes all around or just front? and is there a cheaper way of getting this done?
2. Color of motor
3. Drop in a 4 or keep the 3 on the floor
4. How to drop it cheap? cut the springs or get the proper spindle and drop spring?
5. Still fighting myself over what color over all. I really like satin black but i find that fairly common.
6. i know its a chevy but comes with the gmc grill should i rock that to confuse people or should i sell the gmc and look for the chevy bits and pieces

Just got more parts. Including a dual master cylinder, another 4 barrel carb, electric fan, some ugly bucket seats out of a van I think I'll stick with the bench.. Two 6" alpine type s speakers and few idea you guys will either like or hate.

Ok so here is a weird question, as the truck stands it is a complete rolling chassis but I have no cherry picker just an engine stand. Now I'm wonder without the cab on is it possible to drop in a block and build it directly on the chassis from the ground up?

Ya but I can't take any credit. I didn't do the frame he did I will be dropping it though, and adding disc brakes after the safety

Btw I would do the front disc convert before your at the safety mode,it's much easier without the body and everything in the way.

looks like it could have a small rust issue but the frame looks great and I feel sure the truck will follow in the frames footsteps.

It won't effect your safety because its a brake upgrade with OEM parts and should not cause you issue. Even aftermarket brakes will pass most of my friends have done this with no problems.
I did my total swap for less than 500 with all new rotors,bearings,calipers,lines,pads,and upper and lower ball joints and outer tie rod ends. Only my spindles were used off a 84 gmc 1/2 ton. I was able to retain my original master cyl without problems as well.

That didn't include doing the rear brakes disc. I left my backs drum,I should have stated that in my last post. As for the drop most inspectors will fail suspension drop vehicles due to most not passing the minimum ride height. Rear disc really don't do all that extra stopping for regular driving conditions. If your towing or racing its more appealing IMHO.

Well on the highway ill wanna open'er up a bit but for city driving and cruising I know what you mean. So that 500$ would be both rotors pads calipers spindles hub and lines I assume?
