I picked up my first 69 over the weekend. Its partially restore, engine and trans have been rebuilt as well as a few little things here and there.
Tailgate is off, but I have it, its in ok condition
Those stupid useless mirrors got to go.
Windshield tint already removed. The bottom edge was dead center in my line of sight. Drove me nuts all the way home.
I like the tires and rims previous's previous put on.
I like working on things so this will keep me busy for awhile.

Here it is on day one, home on my farm

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Welcome from James Island. Good looking truck. These mirrors look to be original sport mirrors just in the wrong location. Moving them might help their usefulness.

Re: New Member from Charleston SC area

Awesome, I had no idea there would be other members in the Charleston area. I did a quick look at the posts and jumped on board. Looking forward to learning and sharing everything about these trucks.
My plan is to finish her up and drive it occasionally.
Not sure on paint color yet, it was blue now its obviously primer black...
I will do most of the work myself, except painting.
I did drop it off for exhaust work and brakes today. The place is lousy . Told me they could get right on it......and its still there....

Re: New Member from Charleston SC area

Yep. There are a couple of us on here that are in the area. Sorry you are having a bad experience with the exhaust. I use two guys all the way in Summerville just because I know they do good work.

If you need anything or have any questions let me know. I've had these trucks for a lot of years.
