Seat Belt Compatibility?
Been looking for awhile for some used retract 3 point style drivers/passengers belts for my 81-87 and have been stumped.
Are there any cars/trucks of similar years that can be swapped in with minor modifications? I really would like to stick with a GM oem part versus going with an aftermarket seatbelt. (due to shipping costs/customs etc) Thanks in advance!

Re: Seat Belt Compatibility?
I was gonna go with seatbeltplanet as well when money allowed. They are made by Beams, which does belts for school buses, big trucks, etc. It's the same stuff that LMC sells, but at a cheaper price.
Keep in mind, they are a universal belt so they are not meant exactly for our trucks. You maybe have to use one of their bracket kits or make something yourself. Also, they are single retractor whereas all our trucks came with dual retractor. Dual retractor belts are a bit of a luxury as they just work better and can be put on with one hand, but the single retractor belt gets the job done.

Re: Seat Belt Compatibility?
I have the seatbeltplanet belts in my 1991 burb, they are a universal fit, you just need to figure out what lenth receiver you need. In my opinion they are a nicer design that the original. More compact housing for the retractor and work better with a custom interior.

Re: Seat Belt Compatibility?
I was about to post a thread about seat belts when I saw this one. Please forgive me for hijacking this. My 77 orignally had 3 point belts with the retractors mounted mid way up the seat and not on the floor. I am looking to buy new ones and would like to go with that style. I have checked SSnake oyl, LMC, Seatbelt planet and several others but all of theirs bolt to the floor. Anyone know where I can find replacements or am I just out of luck?
