2 1/2 and 4 inch drop with 17s

I am going with 2 /2 inch drop spindles and 4 inch drop springs in the back and plan on running 17 inch wheels and would like to see pics of any trucks with a similar setup. Also would like to know what size tire I can put front and back with this setup.

I'm not 100% sure on the drop but its close to that

Falken Tires ZIEX S/TZ-01 275/50R17 106H
Falken Tires ZIEX S/TZ-01 235/55R17 103W

And sorry, I can't believe I don't have a straight on picture but here's a few

Thanks Guys ... wheels are from Intro Wheels in California - its their Exposed Vista 5 lug wheel in a 'custom' 6 lug version (don't ask, long story why I stuck with 6 lugs).

Lots of nice 6 lug wheels though - at the time some of the only ones I could find

Thanks ... quality is great but not sure I'd go bare aluminum again - pita to keep up!

And they way I looked at it (or justified it at least lol) was you'd be into $1000 for any decent set of wheels so really these just cost me a $1000 (more). And if you've ever shopped for 6 lug options you'd know there's not a lot of options.

Re: 2 1/2 and 4 inch drop with 17s

This pic is with a 3.5/5 drop.

17x8 255/50/17
17x9.5 275/55/17
Tires are Hankook Ventus ST

With only a 2.5/4 drop, I recommend a 255/60/17-275/60/17 tire combo. The taller tire will fill the wheelwells up better.

I like the look of those. 68 stepbed do you have any problems with tire scrub?

Yes, but only because of incorrect backspacing on my rear wheels. I got in a hurry and ordered the cheaper wheels in stock instead of ordering ones with correct backspacing. My rear wheels have a 5.5" backspace and I have to run a 7/16" spacer to keep them from rubbing. 5" backspacing is ideal on steppers with a 9.5" wheel.

Re: 2 1/2 and 4 inch drop with 17s

68 stepbed your trucks is almost exactly like what I am going to do with mine. Current plans are to go with either the Dodge bright blue from around 2000 or the bright blue that is on Toyota trucks now. Although my daughter wants it black with real flames (she has no clue what things cost).I am also looking for a 6.0 liter to put in it.
