Re: 1963 chevy c10 small block headers
I picked up a set of Patriot Clipster headers. I have not installed them yet, but some others have used them successfully. do a search and you will find most headers are hit and miss for fitting.
I paid $150 for mine and they are new (and ceramic coated). A guy bought them for a hot rod project and then didn't end up using them. Keep an eye on Craigslist, etc for deals.

Re: 1963 chevy c10 small block headers
Block hugger headers are really cheap and good for 10hp, regular long headers cost more but are worth 20hp. Saw some long ones on ebay for $100.. Pretty much all 60's all the way thru the 80's will fit..

Re: 1963 chevy c10 small block headers
Hedman 69260's are designed specifically for the '55-'66 trucks, and will not interfere with your clutch linkage as most 'cheap' headers will.

Re: 1963 chevy c10 small block headers
This is from one of the facebook sites about torsion bars.
The only thing I could find was a mid length. I ended up with Speedway Motors Small Block Chevy Stainless Clipster Headers. Part # 9300108S. They fit like a dream. Quality was good 16 ga. Polished 304 stainless. Fit my Edelbrock Etec 170 head ports very well. I tried several headers. Hooker and Heddman fit the frame great but hit the torsion bars. Block huggers are way too tight at the crossmember. hope this helps. |

Re: 1963 chevy c10 small block headers
I concluded the housings are thinner. I think a 2 year old plug is cheap steel and looks 20 year old.
