Help !!! Removing Front Driveshaft ?????
Does anybody know the 'secret' to removing those dang four bolts that hold the front shaft to the transfer case yoke???? 72 K20 with an NP205. Tried every 1/2" wrench in my collection (a Lot) and still can't get a good hold on them. Removed the exhaust that runs through the crossmember there, thought that would give me the room I needed ... no luck.
I'm wondering if there is a very shallow headed air ratchet and shallow socket that would work in there?? How do you Guru's that have done this a few hunderd times get it done?? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. 72longbed |

I used a wobble socket with a long extension and my impact, but I have a 221 rockwell TC.

Re: Help !!! Removing Front Driveshaft ?????
I just did mine in my Blazer with an NP205. I used a 1/2 inch box/combination wrench. It took a lot of turning, but I was able to get it off.
