67 1/2 ton frontend to frame question.
I've got a 67 1/2 ton chevy frame and i want to put a later model 5 lug disc break frontend under it. Will any other year besides 71 and 72 fit under my frame? Thanks.

Put a 86 frontend on my 68 had to drill one hole on each side of the frame.

Think he's talking about front suspension.

Re: 67 1/2 ton frontend to frame question.
You can use 71 up to 86ish, as those years have the thicker disc rotor and in 87 they get thinner. Keep in mind that the what year you go with, try to keep it all that year due to sizes of the tie rod and ball joint shaft sizeds So you can keep your upper/lower A-arms, but go with the later year ball joints.
Or you can do the whole engine/suspension crossmember swap. Do a search on here as lots of us have done these swaps. |
