WTB stock Panel Truck Seats

I need both seats for a 65 panel truck. I will even consider buying a whole parts truck if they are in good shape.

I had different plans, did something stupid several years ago and sold the set I had . The ones in the back ground of the pic are what I am looking for.

Re: WTB stock Panel Truck Seats

I think I will pass. I will keep it in mind but I'm more looking for the individual buckets.

Nope, those would be for a panel. IIRC truck and 'burban buckets have a different back, not the full metal.

No, actually, the "buddy buckets" refer to bucket seats that had a center seat with a flip down back. They were, according to what I've read here, only available in GMC's pickups, starting in 66. I know they were available in Chevys in 67, I had one. All the suburbans, as far as I know, had a split front seat 60% driver, 40% pass, ( or maybe 70-30). The pass side flipped forward to access the back. It's my understanding the panels had either a single bucket seat (as shown above) or, as an option, a pair of these. I don't know if pass and driver seat are the same. No center flip down. There is a recent post here showing some buddy buckets for sale on CL.

Saw these and remembered your WTB post. Not cheap, but look like they could be usable as-is.

I might be wrong, Those might be little older 47-59. The 2 pairs that i have from 60-66 Have like waffle pattern (vertical & horizontal) lines that cross each other, like the picture tomanyprojects posted. I wish people whould at least least advertise correctly, the 3rd seat is 63-66 GMC only.

I had a set of buddy buckets in a 68 they are nothing like what I need.

The pass seat was optional. Mine originally only had the drivers seat. I found the pass side in a 65 ambulance in the middle of a literal pig pen at a junkyard. Both seats are the same except the pass base allows it to flip forward.

Thanks for the lead. I'm not in a bind enough to spend that much plus shipping yet. Ask me again when I'm ready to put the seats back in.

I also think they are out of the older style truck. the back looks like a set I saw in 55.

Re: WTB stock Panel Truck Seats

This panel has the full split bench seat in it, Located North of Lynchburg on US29 around the Amherst area. East side of the highway when heading North. He has a bunch of trucks on his acreage around his service station. Nice guy let's you walk the yard.

That is a nice set, I would love to have them. I will have to pass though. The cost, plus shipping is a lot more than I am willing to spend.
