67 engine stands

Hello all,

I have a 67 swb with a 250 i6, I am wanting to install a 350. Will the stock engine stands work moved forward or are the v8 stands different? Thanks for any input.

Thanks for the reply, do you know if 67-72 v8 stands will work on a 67? I heard 67 had there own stands and 68-72 would not work?

Yes, they work fine on your 67. I've even used them all the way back through 63 models.

The difference you've been hearing about are big block stands not working on 67's. Not an issue for you with the small block stands.

Re: 67 engine stands

Why not use the 6cyl stands in the stock location? The 8 still fits and you won't have to move the trans forward or swap the driveline. You should use a v-8 4x4 shroud though. Just a thought.
