PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if you don't want your CUSTOM VEHICLES talked about maybe you shouldn't have built them in the first place? everyone everywhere has a opinion about everything too low,too high,wrong color,ugly interior,too stock, too RADICAL, not enough motor,too much motor,too much chrome, "wrong wheels " (my fav)lol get my point ? just my two cents. i'm sure everyone has a opinion on my ride, and i have my opinions of others but you know what if you don't want your rides talked about don't show em or build em ! open a magazine for instance ? how many trucks do you like or what is done to them??? and how many don't you like? get my point yet? lots of people on this message board including all years have some pretty bad ass rides and alot of time and money into them, anyone can buy a truck for 30 -50 grand right off the showroom floor but it takes a certain person to buy a truck and spend a little restoring or customizing to there own personality! i give KUDOS to all who has tried as for one person saying what someone else thinks is smack i think he or they are pissin up the wrong tree! yeah sure i have my opinions of a certain few trucks some good some bad but it is america the land of the free , freedom of speech and all that crap! some of these trucks will probably end up in a garage never to be seen or you will never see the end of them they just wont go away. as for a few you will probably get to see grace the covers and pages of magazines or catalogs or shows in the future. but for the few that we call ours yours or mine. from stock fully restored to full on radical custom,all differ in styles and > ONE THING IS FOR SURE THERE IS AN ASS IN EVERY ONE OF THOSE SEATS AND THAT ASS IS GONNA HAVE AN OPINION! and thats the bottom line. any one else got an opinion??? or is everone here robots!

Here is my ass's opinion.
I think that the higher trim level trucks look better original and the base trucks are best suited for custon stuff, lowering, etc. The only thing I really don't like is 20-24" rims but only because I see so many rastafarian crack dealers that have them on late 80's and early 90's IMpalas. Nonetheless, I applaud everyone on this board for knowledge and know how. It is amazing what some of these guys are capable of. It also makes me feel better knowing that I am not the only truck buff around that spends thousands on what a lot of people think is a "waste"

i tend to agree you post your truck to brag and or criticism if ya cant take the heat when someone doesnt like it dont bother to post it.. other than that if ya only want praise for whatever ya do just show mommy and daddy!

First of all, I agree, if you go for originality via customization you have to expect positive and negative feedback. Furthermore, I think those who do customize are by nature "closet attention seekers". Hell, any classic truck gets attention so I think we're all in that category to some degree or another. Nothing wrong with that unless you can't accept non-positive feedback.
I'd never purposely degrade anyone's truck, though I have from time-to-time berated e-bay auctions because of over-the-top absurdity (a subjective opinion) or outright misleading descriptions of the vehicle being sold. If I don't care for someone's truck, I skip commenting at all Since I have a seat and an a$$ to set in it, here's my opinions: I don't mind disk brakes swaps, moderate lowering, engine/tranny swaps, aftermarket a/c, aftermarket wheels, convenience upgrades, detailed engine compartments, performance upgrades, etc. So I'm not a strict purist. I don't like chops, radical drops, 17 inch or larger wheels, bags, roll pans, louvers, shaved anything, frenched anything, (though I believe french women should shave), smoothed firewalls, seats that look out of place, small or radical steering wheels, wild customization, 88-98 beds, non-stock grilles, electronic gauges, one-piece windows, blowers, and cut dashes. But I respect you and your creativity if that's what you prefer! My 2 cents on this (and it's gotten me in a few arguments but oh well).

I think it's all a matter of how you approach your dislike's and likes. It's called constructive criticism or positive criticism. It's all in how you say it. For example, I would be really pissed if someone said "your truck sucks!", but in striking up a conversation they said, "I'm not a big fan of _____, but I think such & such looks really nice."
I could go into more detail, but when I do, I usually get the glassy-eyed look. So I'll just simply say to keep your negative comments to yourself unless asked for your opinion, and then use tact when telling your thoughts. This is how I've always approached the issue.

I will never ever do any real body work, or any real paint shooting, or any real mechanic work, but I do respect what everyone does custom or stock. Sometimes I feel like I haven't done crap to my truck, I'm usually there watching/helping as far as mecahnical stuff goes. Sometimes I feel like all I do is care for the thing, and that makes me feel better, cause If I didn't care about it, it sure wouldn't have been running a while back, and now waiting for a 350. Lets all just get a long....no arguing about whats better.....cause we all have different tastes......like drinking beer....it doesn't make you more of a man than drinking wine coolers......blah blah....same difference.... later guys..

There has only been 1 67-72 that I ever came right out and thought was the worst piece of steel I have ever seen. Only because it no longer looked like a truck IMO, but this is only my opinion. I know a lot of guys here would love to have something that is this customized. But SWINGSAX68 said it best with
