Moving to Texas.

Well we sold the house, and bought one in Roanoke, Texas. It has a 23 foot wide by 23 foot long attached garage. And a 15 foot wide by 27 foot long garage in the back yard. It came with 4 chickens, and one rooster. Now I have to drive the 87 to Texas. I don't have any problems. It is about 940 miles to Roanoke. Later.

Was talking to my dad the other day and he said he had a similar problem. Said that he broke his newest rooster of chasing people after it attacked my grandmother by waiting until it started coming after him and punting it. After he punted it the first time, dad went on the attack. That rooster now RUNS when he sees dad come out of the house and hasn't bothered anybody else since.

Gotta love growing up in the country!

Re: Moving to Texas.

De-spur the critter then carry a straw broom. He'll get the idea after you thrash him a few times with it.
Good luck with the drive South.

Got lost in downtown looking for the high school. Apparently they are doing a lot of construction around the high school. Again, Welcome to Texas.

Re: Moving to Texas.

Thanks everyone. I will try to make the rooster afraid of me. They are fixing the streets in Roanoke. That is nice. I just had my AC fixed. I hope nothing else breaks. I have to have trees cut , and a fence put up so my dog won't get out. That will cost about $13,000. All for the love of a dog. I could have bagged my truck instead.

I have a half acre lot. There are trees along one side that is over 200 feet long. The trees are right on the line. The fence will be cedar, 6 feet tall, and with steel post 3 feet in the ground.
