Charcoal canister question? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Since the suburban tank has a vent line,I ran it to the front,I got this canister from the junk yard,,where does the purge line go? And do I need a Valve in the line? Air cleaner line seems as nothing hooks to it? thanks in advance
