White Face Gauge Overlays
The gauge overlays are finally done!!
I actually can't believe it!! LOL! Anyways, I got to see the final print and they look really good. I'm really happy with the print quality, material, etc. Well I just wanted you all to know since a lot of you know I've been working on this for like forever now. I'm working on a webpage that will have an order form on it for anyone that happens to surf in or gets sent there. Wish me luck on selling these things. Most proceeds will be going towards my truck....what else? And if you know someone that is looking for a way to dress up their dash without spending lots of $$ on the autometer gauges or APC overlays, I wouldn't mind a shameless plug

That's great news! You might consider selling them on Ebay. I am sure by doing that you'll get some quick visability in the marketplace. If you can, you might price them slightly lower than the other guy who is selling them too on Ebay, but if yours look better than his and priced slightly lower, you might get his sales.

Ahhhh...gotcha.... As soon as my website is done, (hopefully this weekend if I can squeeze time between final projects and studying for exams) I'll post a link to it in the parts boards. But in the meantime, anyone interested can e-mail me at whitefaceoverlays@digitalcampground.com EDIT: If you e-mail me, be sure to tell me that you saw this message on this board.

I'll take a set as soon as you are ready to ship them. How is payment for them going to be setup? Thank You

George:
The set is $20 + $3 S&H for board members and early birds. When I go the ebay route and for anyone surfing aimlessly into my site, the price will be $24. I'm taking payments via paypal (whitefaceoverlays@digitalcampground.com), money order, or personal check. Checks must clear first before they ship. They're ready now. It's a print as we go until we get enough orders to build up a stock so ship time is 4 - 6 weeks maybe less. For those who haven't seen them yet, here they are:

Heather, great job with the overlays. I'm interested but i've got two Q's:
1. Could you provide the speedo digits in kilometers per hour instead of miles? I believe that would benefit both Canadians and everyone else around the globe that have the metric system. 2. Could you make a fuel gauge overlay for a diesel truck (it's the big gauge with "diesel fuel only" written under the gauge sweep)? I don't know if there would be any interest in the diesel fuel gauge overlay but i reckon the speedometer would be a different story. I can provide detailed pics of the km/h speedo and the fuel gauge since i've disassembled the dash and have the gauges separate now. TIA, -Axle

As far as the diesel fuel gauge, if it's the same size as the large fuel gauge for unleaded and you're just wanting the text on there for diesel fuel only...I can consider it, but I want this simple. The more options and seperating out I do, the less simple this is. Right now as the gauge sits, it can work for unleaded and diesel if the size is right. Also, to add another gauge to the set will increase the cost for everyone involved so I'm thinking this isn't a great idea for me at this point in time. I appreciate the suggestions, however, this has been a pita to organize for a long time, and right now, I just want to sit back and let them sell without thinking about putting a bunch more hours into them. Thanks for understanding

Heather,
when you get the page for them worked out, give me the link and I'll be glad to put it on my site. I think it may help if I had a photo of a completed gauge bezel for everyone to see. I get a lot of traffic and I'm sure it would help you sell them. Let me know what you think. I'll even set up a page just for the overlays.

Heather,
thanks for the quick reply. I totally agree having both kph and mph on the speedo would not look good. I understand you would have to add metric overlays to the print sheet which would be useless for those who do not need them. I remember now that the oil pressure gauge also has kPa instead of PSI printed on it. The reason i asked about the diesel gauge is because judging from the pictures you posted the sweep of the gauge needle seems longer (something like from 10 o'clock to 2 o'clock instead of 10:30 to 1:30) compared to gasoline. Or i just might remember wrong In any case, if you ever find the time to produce a sheet with metric overlays please let us foreigners know They do look great! -Axle

Thanks Scotty!
Don't worry, there's a non-a/c gauge that comes with the set. This is an old pic. I'll be getting a newer one made up. They're made out of a very durable vinyl with adhesive backing that won't fade, shrink or bubble. It's very flexible so no worries about ripping them.

Heather, why is there a black rectangle on the tach? It looks like the odometer hole on the speedo, but it shouldn't be there on the tach.

The tach we used as a sample has a cut out there. But all black rectangles have been removed on the new design. The only cut out marking is the diameter and the needle.

Heather,
Great Timing! I just happen to have my dashboard apart and will remove the gauges tonight to get ready to install them. I sent you payment via Paypal. Thanks for all the time and effort.
