In. I've been wondering about the paddle shifters too. Where are you getting your 6.2?

Re: Anybody running paddle shifter

I'll be running a tap shift setup with my 4L80E and Megasquirt "megashift" module.

Planning to run this shifter and use the buttons for tap shifting.

Re: Anybody running paddle shifter

Haven't found a good scource yet but I'm still in the parts collecting stage I'm open to any suggestions about vendors or setup. I'm thinking something like an art Carr or something simple and small in the floor or between the seat custom seat of course. Then ididit or flaming river brushed column with tci paddle shift with display and the no key setup from flaming river also all I need now is to either win the lotto or get this raise I've been promised

Re: Anybody running paddle shifter

You still need a mechanical gear shifter to get from Park to Drive and Reverse. (Floor shifter?) I believe the Dakota Digital gear indicator is indexed off the transmission shifter arm, so it will only show the gear you manually/physically put the trans into.... not the gear you select while using the paddle shifter.

The ECM/PCM should have the data from the trans to know what gear it's in at any given time. The problem is not all readers/controllers have a way to "export" that data to an indicator for the dash...
