WIW Nice Cab in Texas

I have a lead on a parts truck that I want the bed and doors off of. I have never sold just a cab so I was curious if it was worth enough to justify going through with the purchase. It's a one owner, 68 NON a/c cab with the original paint and very minimal rust. A tiny hole or 2 on the passenger rocker but otherwise I see nothing in the floorboards, drivers rocker or cab corners. Obviously it probably has a gremlin or two inside the rockers that can't be seen but otherwise it's the nicest cab I have found in my neck of the woods. It does have a clear title. The truck is a 2wd I6 with column shift 3 speed so it's a low hump floor. Very unmolested truck so not a bunch of holes drilled anywhere, including the radio. The only other thing is the lower areas of the cab corners are somewhat pulled out, not sure why exactly, but looks like they could be straightened pretty easily (see pics #4 and 5). If I go through with this purchase the cab would basically be stripped of the interior, doors, and the front clip. Any suggestions are appreciated. THANKS!

Here is the pic of the passenger rocker with its small pinholes.

500-700 on the cab if I had to guess. The Passenger front fender will be very valuable too if the cup is really good. (or as good as the cab! )

Easily 1200 - 1500 in the part out, even after the bed and doors are spoken for. $300 for the roller frame, .. $200 if the core support is good, etc.

Hope this helps.

Nope, it has battery cancer. If that front clip was nice I would probably convert my 72 swb over to 68! The hood is the only good front clip part.

Yes thanks! That's the thing, much of what you mentioned I would be keeping for my two 72s. You think a long wheel base 6 lug 2wd roller is worth $300, really???

Also, I just remembered I need to get you some pics of my front bumper from the other thread, haven't been home in the daylight yet this week! Sorry.

Re: WIW Nice Cab in Texas

Yep it's a long bed. I said I wanted the bed but really I just want one of the fenders and the tailgate. Heck While I'm at it, what does a nice long step bed go for? I know they are sort of rare to see nowadays but it might just be because they are undesirable to most people.

From my experience, bumpers will interchange through the years as long as you have the correct corresponding brackets.

Thanks, here's the gmc bumper issue that's in question.
