TX WTB. 68 fenders +

i want to change over to 68 CHEVY front clip . i already have a perfect grille . but need L+R front fenders , hood , and core support . without dents or rust problems + need to be original gm . i know thats asking for a lot but if you have any of these parts for-sale please let me know...thanks..johnny

I have a few 68 parts. Nice hood, pretty nice DS fender, PS fender needing cup replaced, rad support not rusted out. I would take $500 picked up. I work tomorrow and won't be able to get pics til next wednesday, though.

hey,WIDESIDE72, I'm interested shoot me some pics when you get a chance, any chance you would split up the fenders ,trying not to have to repair fender cups. i'm going to San Antonio wednesday to make a delivery for work.. but thats probably to soon for you , i could meet your brother if we make a deal .... how did that frame work out for you . good i hope...johnny

I can substitute a decent 68 front bumper for the ds fender for the same $$$.

When would you be through Austin Wednesday? Maybe we could work something out. I work evenings at the airport (ABIA). If not, after Christmas is OK too.

I have your # still and will call you tomorrow.

I am still working on the frame. I have it swapped over to 5 lug cleaned and painted. I have a build thread but havent updated it in a while.

I saw no rust, but the passenger side fender had some damage to the front, driver side was good. I havent had time to go out to my place and take photos of the hood, but it is in about the same shape as the other parts. Let me know what you think and make me an offer, or if you want to wait for photos of the hood. I will have photos of it by Thurs for sure. As I mentioned I have a replacement cup for the PS fender that I will include as well.

I have a pretty good 68+ GMC fender for the Driver's side I'd sell. It does have some tiny pinholes around the bottom lip behind the tire .. but overall it's pretty straight.

I searched the world over for a 68 Passenger side. I finally found one WAY up in the woods in Somerset KY. As it turns out, one of our members from a while back 'Junk Yard John' moved from Nevada to KY and brought a truck load of stuff with him. Fenders, doors, lots of NOS stuff, etc. I got mine from him but it has been about a year ago. At that time he had another green passenger side that was really good.

This is the one I got from him. Not for sale ..

They are friggin impossible to find 'rust free'.. Anything you find will have discoloration at the very least in the cup.

It had some dings in it when I got it but they have been dollied out. The fender has been sprayed with code 503 paint, we were just practicing on it. You could knock it back off if you chose to. It was blasted and Epoxy primed, then PPG High build primer and base / clear. It sounds like you might want t ojust stick with 69 stuff and I understand. The swap gets expensive unless you can find a clean swap of the entire clip. Just my opinion.

hey cc69rat, the left fender you have for sale is it the one in your #65 post or thats the keeper you got, looks good, i was about to give up but i got a nice hood and core support today. now just need fenders.

Its the GMC fender in those pics. Dad and I used it for a practice fender. It was sprayed with GM code 503 but its not perfect. You might want to knock it back down to primer or re blast it.

It has some glaze in it in places and some pinholes in the bottom cup near the door but its overall really good. I can pull it off and take some pictures if you want. Ill make you a good deal on it... but just know its not perfect.

The passenger side is the one thats a booger to find. My drivers side is above average but I found one that was perfect and original paint. Thats why I ended up with an extra.

Let me know.. this one is not advertised so I should have it around. Ill keep my eyes open for a good pass side for you.
