Question Three speed trans

The chassis I bought with a 3 speed trans, came with a floor shifter. It appears original. Could the truck have come from the factory with a floor shifter?

The floor relocation was a popular move....to the best of my knowledge, the ony 3-speeds that came on the floor were in El Camino's.

Probably a 4 speed originally, then the 3 speed was swapped in.
