Heater assembly

getting ready to re-install my heater core/fan assembly(its the one that bolts to the firewall on the engine side).

when I piece it together should I use any kind of sealent?

I saw some kind of "schmootz" betwwen the upper and lower halves when I took it apart.but I don't know if that was factory or not.

hope someone can answer this.

much thanks

Re: Heater assembly

I bought a new gasket set from classic industries and used 3m weatherstrip adhesive.
