Re: Power Brake Upgrade on my 71
I got this kit:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/67-1967-68-6...#ht_514wt_1330 It's a CPP system for about 100 dollars less than what CPP sells them for. Plus free shipping. When I bought mine the bid only went up to $213. Only thing I didn't like is the seller has piss poor communication. It took forever for him to ship it, and I had to hound him just to get a friggin' tracking number. I'm in the process of installing it in my rig now. Gary

Re: Power Brake Upgrade on my 71
i have heard of people having issues with that company, i ordered my front disc brakes through them with no issue, but your experience makes the 3rd negative one that i know of. as far as the kit goes, let me know how you like the performance. hope the install goes well!

Re: Power Brake Upgrade on my 71
I'll let ya know. Funny thing... I finally got the tracking number the day the box hit my doorstep.
Anyways... I am replacing the original 40 year old booster/master in my 1972 GMC with disc/drum. So the studs are there sticking out of the firewall to bolt this thing to. The bottom studs are just a tad too close together to line up with the holes on the booster bracket. So I have to waller out the holes a tad with my peanut grinder. "Waller out" is a technical term... The kit comes with nuts and bolts to use if you are putting it in a non-booster rig. So I figured I could use those nuts on the studs on the firewall since they are the same size, and the look better (Grade 8). Nada... they are fine thread, where the originals are coarse thread. I also had to drop the steering column down an inch to get the bolt out that bolts the booster rod to the brake pedal under the dash. Good times! Gary

Re: Power Brake Upgrade on my 71
This one looks like a 8" dual diaphragm
http://www.ebay.com/itm/67-68-69-70-...20977523394%26 and the other is a single diaphragm.
