Gear drive question
Alright, so my gear drive is bipolar. Some days its noisy as it should be, but somedays its quieter. Why is this?? When I say quieter, it is still noisy. It just doesn't scream like other days.

Re: Gear drive question
Colder days oil is thicker until it warms up to operating temp. That's all I could think of.
I've never been able to tolerate a gear drive whine. The only whine I wanna hear would be from a 6-71 or a Procharger. Gary

Re: Gear drive question
Now that you said that, It does kinda line up. On warm days it does seem louder. But, I'm not 100% on it
Honestly, I don't even realize its there. Unless someone ask about it. I've gotten used to it |
