Replacement for split rims on C60?
New to the forum, so this may be asked many times before.
I've got a '66 C60 that I use for a grain truck that has the original 20" split rims. Tires are getting pretty old so if I replace them it would be nice to change wheels too. I can still get one tire shop to work on the split rims, but they don't like it very much. Found Accuride wheels (p/n 28160) that are 22.5", but the dealer quoted me $400 ea x 6....way more than the truck's worth. Are there any later Chevy/GMC trucks that have tubeless wheels that will fit? (10 hole, 8 3/4" Bolt circle, 6 1/4" bore...uses flat face flanged cap nut) |

Do you have a truck tire shop around that may have some laying around?

Re: Replacement for split rims on C60?
I'm not sure what year they changed, but the newer C50-60 size trucks have a larger hub bore and a larger bolt circle. I know my '89 GMC 7500 has the larger bore and bolt circle. I don't know if you can get the load rated tires you will need, but you might look into the 19.5 wheels. They are common on the heavier motorhomes, as well as a lot of medium duty trucks.

Re: Replacement for split rims on C60?
It appears you have the Chevy 10 lug system not the larger Budd 10 lug system. The Chevy 8 3/4 bolt diameter was used on the light duty 60 series, while the heavy duty 60 series used the Budd 6 lug or Budd 10 lug system. In this case, it would be cheaper and less time consuming to just have newer tires put on your existing rims at a truck tire dealer only business. One piece 22.5" Chevy 8 3/4" 10 lug wheels are out there, but not easy to find.

Here is a photo of a one piece tubless 22.5" Chevy 10 hole 8 3/4 bolt pattern. Some models used 5 lug front 10 lug rear, some models and 10 lug front and rear.

Re: Replacement for split rims on C60?
Anyone know a source for wheel studs for a 75 C60? The rims I found are a little thicker than stock and lug nuts won't cover the stud, about 1/4 inch too short.
