Fiberglass Hood
Has anyone bought a fiberglass hood from Unlimited Products? I was looking into a 4" cowl with use of factory latch. I just know how some of the fiberglass stuff can be. I had some fenders and they were not even close to fitting. Thanks in advance.

Re: Fiberglass Hood
Everything I have ever used from Unlimited Products fit like socks on a chicken. It has been about 20 yrs or so since I used them last so maybe the quality has improved. I can't see how they would stay in business otherwise. Most of the stuff they sell would be suitable for a drag car.
With that said, I prefer Harwood glass over anything else. I know it will fit like it should and look like steel with paint on it. As with anything, it will take some prep work before paint. Good Luck. |

Re: Fiberglass Hood
I used a cowl hood from them about 12 years ago and paid around $600 bucks or so to get it,it fit ok but I say that very loosely. It took a lot of work to make it look decent. If you look at the bottom of the first page on my build thread you will see it on my old pro street truck. I had previuosly bought one from U S body source and it was a train wreck from day one, and they were some of the biggest jerks I have ever talked to about it,In the end I sold it for like $75 bucks because it was going to have to be highly modified to work. Unfortunately I dont think there is a good place to buy a hood, Unlimiteds customer service is not very good either. Hope this helps and good luck.

Re: Fiberglass Hood
Does Harwood make one that fits the 60-66 model trucks?

Re: Fiberglass Hood
I don't think Harwood makes one for the 60-66 body style. Never seen one from them...

Re: Fiberglass Hood
Thanks for the input. The cowl on the white truck doesn't look too bad. But I know it is a picture and not in person.
