What size wheel?
What is the best fitting rim to fit under my 69 2wd? I'm putting 2.5 drop in front and 4" in back. Stock rear end. I'm trying to come up with a good looking and fitting wheel combo. Im doing 13" rotors so I need at least a 17" rim. Was thinking between that and 20" or somewhere in between. I see alot of people with 18" the look is kinda growing on me! Not sure about what width or back spacing. Don't want any rubbing. Was thinking of getting the same size rim/tire in all corners. Thinking of staying around a 27-30" tire.
Any suggestions? Thanks, Ryan Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: What size wheel?
I believe the largest rear wheel you can run on a fleetside is a 10, stepside guys usually run 9's. Now the diameter of the wheel is all preference. Some people like 20's all the way around, some like 18's up front and 20's in the rear. I'll be running 20x8.5's up front, 22x10's in the rear. It all depends on if you like raked look or not. Backspacking varies depending on what rearend you have. I don't know much about backspacing considering I am custom ordering a rear end to width. Here are some pictures to give you an idea of what the different combos look like. 18x20s first, 20x20, 20x22's last. Hope this helps
P.S. All of these truck belong or have belonged to board members, not mine. Just referencing wheel size
