Dually guys get in here!
Might be picking up a 82 single cab dually shortbed 454 th 400.
The body is rough but seems the running gear is solid. Thinking of just slamming it and stick steel black wheels, shoot it flat black and tint the windows and make a fun cruiser. Is ther a set of steel 17'' dually wheels? Can I make the rear from dually and just put one large wheel and tire on rear? Is it as easy to lower as any other 73-87 chevy? But I wanna make this fun, maybe fast, low and loud! |

Re: Dually guys get in here!
Yes you can get super wide rear rims whatever offset needed in an 8 Lug pattern. Lowering a Dually is as simple as any other 73-87. The only major differance is the rear spring width is narrower than the 1/2 tons, so you can't use the pre made spring hangers.

Re: Dually guys get in here!
^ and spend about 5 times as much on the wheels and tires as you're paying for the truck
I'm building a dually and will have to have custom 16x10s made, I want to keep it dually rather than running a super single. |

Re: Dually guys get in here!
only 3 times more for the wheels than the truck, but worth it.

Re: Dually guys get in here!
Yeah i do not wanna spend a ton of money of wheels. I want steel wheels so i can paint them or aluminum if they are cheap enough. Dont the 19.5's need milled down or something? might just use a stock steel wheel on front and find the big fat wheels i want for the rear!
