Will 1954 doors fit on a 1950 cab
Hello , I have two parts trucks a 1954 five window and a 1959 three window.
I trying to make one truck using the best parts. My 1954 doors are in really good shape, the 1950 doors are a mess will the 54 doors fit well on my 1950 cab???? thanks |

yes they should fit with minimal shimming. only difference is the look of the windows in the doors if i remember right. the old version has the vent window and i think they put those in starting in 51

The door handles and latches are different but they will fit, You might have to use the striker plate off the 54 cab.

As Henry50 said, you will have to use the door strikers off the 54 cab but otherwise they should bolt on and go. The 47/51 cabs use one style striker and the push button handle 52/54 doors use another that is slightly different.
Guys are hunting for parts off those non vent one piece window doors to use on their doors or convert later doors to one piece windows so don't throw them away just yet. They might be good trading material.
