Re: Air ride question

My dually is about an inch and half from layin out in the front....rear lays out....front just has 3 inch spindles, top plates and i just flat plated the lowers....if it goes any lower than it is now ill have to remove or raise the Blower/air box from the firewall...i like the air/heater better than the frame on the ground....when i body it next year ill swap to Vintage air and recess the bag into the lower arm

Re: Air ride question

you can lay the front of your dually out with stock spindles/stock control arms (need pie cut) on stock size 16 in tires, with a front Z. you will have crazy negative camber when aired out.

if you can weld and can cut your front suspension off and weld it back on square, it costs about 200 dollars to lay the front of a chevy truck out and be able to air back up with a schrader/valve stem.

Re: Air ride question

I used the Air ride 4 Link, worked well. Nate built me a set of narrowed A arms and dropped 1 ton spindles , so with a stock front crossmember I can set the front cross on the ground.

Re: Air ride question

I understand, I thought you had a kit in mind. If I had my druthers, I would go with the Porterbuilt or Scotts stuff. Either way, let me know if you need an installer.

Re: Air ride question

I could install it. Portebuilt makes all of it but I don't really want to change the a-arms and you have to he said. I don't really like the look of tubular

Re: Air ride question

I could have used the original arms, but I needed a little extra room for the rims I was building the truck around. In hindsight I should have just re- hooped the rims.. You could do the rear in Trailing arms and redo the crossmember to accept, I have a set of one ton trailing arms and crossmember, then all you need is bags.
