For us Stepside guys

I figured out how you could get a slightly custom look on our stepsides.

Any auto parts place that sells trailer lights, for about $30 you can get a set of the LED trailer lights, take them apart and buy yourself a can of the tail light smoke stuff.

black out the side marker lights, and on the left light black out the license plate light on the bottom, then smoke the lenses if you want.

The mounting screws on the assembly fit perfectly into the holes for our tail lights, splice them in... and now you have a custom LED tail light look.

Pics coming!

Re: For us Stepside guys

I'll hold off till I see some pics that some like a good idea. There are a number of good ones for the stepbed guys, I saw a post on here lat year that actually had me looking for a step bed for a while for a project. It involved a section of curved pipe and filling in the corners at the top of the side where the roll is. Once finished out it really looked good

Re: For us Stepside guys

First pic is just the running lights:

Second is the brake lights:

Third is the light itself:

These pictures do not do it justice, I will have to take some in the daylight with an actual camera instead of a phone, but they are bright, and very very noticeable.

DOT approved and bright and safe during the day as well....

(plus it gives it that custom look)

Thumbs up Re: For us Stepside guys

Thank you!
I was looking into the already made LED re-pops but yours are not only more cost effective but the end results are the same if not better!! I will try the same with a clear LED inserts for the back up lenses.
