lower ball joint install question
I am putting the correct ball joint on finally (see picture)
And noticed that there is a lip on the ball joint on the right that does not seem to be there on the left one. I am getting ready to press it in with a rented press and was wondering what to do about that. If I just mash it in won't that get cut off? It does not seem to come off just by trying to push it up the bolt.

Re: lower ball joint install question
Take the rubber boot off.
Press the ball joint up thru the a-arm. Install boot. Install spindle.

Re: lower ball joint install question
How easily did your boot go on? I can't seem to get it to go around all sides of the ball joint! I'm using moog parts... Tips?

Re: lower ball joint install question
The moog boots can be a total PITA but they dont fall off like some other brands. A socket or a piece of pipe the size of the lip on the boot will work with a hammer just be careful not to cut the boot. You can also do it with a large flat head screwdriver.
