Hood Latch & Bracketry
I am installing 68 front clip onto a 71 C-10. Everything is going O.K. but the hood latch. Is a hood latch & the bracket behind it different for a 68 than for a 71. Also I have installed an aftermarket radiator support an found that the battery tray mounting for the three holes along the inside edge are not in the correct place for an original batt tray, has anyone experienced this problem?

Yes the hood latch is different. You will need a 67/or 68 hood latch. FYI, 69/70 are uique as are 71/72. The diffs between the later years are the mounting points for grille support and location of release arm, but the 67/68 is even more unique as it's designed for the more sloped (longer) hood.
Cant speak to the rad support issue

If you're referring to the large pin bolted to the underside of the hood, I don't think it's different between 67-72

Richard Dobson,
I have a 67-68 hood latch that you can have for $15 to your door. It is pretty clean, painted black, but a little rusty, and worked fine. It's been off of my parts truck for a bout 1 1/2 years now. let me know if your interested!!! I also have the bracket that supports the center of the grill from the back side if you need that too. -Roger
