Newbie here!

Ive had my 3/4 ton 65 for 20 some years. Dad got it from Grandpa when he graduated. Dad raised me in this truck then gave it to me for graduating. I pull my 21ft boat with it, take it to clay bullrings with a trailer full of karts for my kids & work it like a truck whenever i need a truck. It has this rocker/safety hook kinda deal for the rear cab mounts. Sagging a bit. Any solutions out there? Havent ever seen them for sale.

I've seen several people convert these to the 1/2 ton style mounts. I'll see if I can find one of the threads, in the meantime you might try a search for "rear cab mount" or something similar.

Re: Newbie here!

Welcome to the forum

Most guys convert their C20's and C30's to the C10 style rear cab mount. You will need to find the frame brackets either from a donor truck, or you can purchase new ones from Tony at 4-5-6 Chevy trucks. I don't have his exact contact info handy. I'm sure someone else will be along that does.

The original style mounts can be rebuilt, but you have to send yours in, and they are a little spendy.

Re: Newbie here!

Thanx guys. I have a new set of mounts, bolts & rubber. I guess im really reluctant to change much on it. If itsnot broke why fix it? Heads werent changed over to run unleaded til mid 70s. I run split rims on it til like 93. But time does take its toll. I put seats out of a 95 Z71 & painted with base/ clear. Gonna have to brake down & put new master cylinder on for safety sake. Where can i find parts like rear license plate holder & thermostat control? I just found this site so ill float around it & check it out.
