Front suspenion swap question
Considering buying a 68 k20 and would like to install front discs. I can get a donor 80 C20 front end. Can anyone tell me if I can just swap the spindles and brakes from the C20?
Thanks. |

If you're referring to a 4wd 68 and a 2wd 80, it's a no go. The spindles are not interchangeable between 2wd and 4wd regardless of year

I doubt is as the 68 is a closed knuckle dana44 FE. You could swap the entire front axle however, though I'm not sure of the implications there.

Just find an axle from a 71 or newer truck it will bolt right in. Of course you'll need to replace your brake lines and master cylinder/booster as appropriate.
