Dash LED lights

I've read several threads on here about LED's in your dash. I want to change my factory bulbs over to LED's to be brighter. I will be painting the inside of my gauges too to make it all brighter. Here are some bulbs that I found; http://www.ebay.com/itm/380556467425...84.m1438.l2648
What do you guys think about these? Are there better ones than that. I'm not too savvy with LED's. I've read the light distribution from SMD LED's are better. Thoughts on the subject? If you prefer others which one's? With links would be greatly appreciated. Pics of course are always welcomed. And how many green, red and amber replacements would you need? Thanks in advance. They will be going into a 1970 C20. Replacing the gauge cluster with a tach dash gauge cluster.

Re: Dash LED lights

This is what I got in my truck

The main thing to look for with LEDs is you want the 360 degree angle. I only replaced the 4 main bulbs on mine, I didn't worry about the turn signal indicators and other lights.

Re: Dash LED lights

So the link that I posted would be fine to use? And these are direct swaps you don't have to do anything else for them to replace the old bulbs?

Re: Dash LED lights

If you're going to buy those led's you'd better hurry. It says there's only eight left. My concern is dimability.(Is that a word?) My dash lights don't work yet, but it seems to me they're supposed be able to dim. I know after a number of hours driving at night, having too bright dash lights starts to irritate the eyes. Anyway, good luck.

Re: Dash LED lights

If they're a direct replacement for the stock bulbs I will get them.

Re: Dash LED lights

I put some in my 66 mustang. They were brighter, dimmed the same, but the nubs on the sides were shorter then the stock bulbs and would pop out of the socket. FYI
