Re: NEED HELP!!! 67 K10 1/2 ton burb

Its in really good condition. There is a little rust in the normal areas. The rockers and a little bit in front of the rear tires. But aside from that.. It har original motot and running gear.. The am radio.. Original interior roof still has the 4wd sticker. Flooring is in decent shape.. It has been painted.. Seats heve been reupholstered. Body is completely straight aside from a small dent in the left barn door. I would post pics but i can't figure out how..? I have paperwork from where it was sold in coeur d'Alene idaho. And i have the original owners manuals.. I mostly want to know how much its worth.. Cause im toying with the idea of overhauling it. But i dont want to change anytging if it is really valuable.

In the reply box at the bottom, click on "Go Advanced" and there will be a "manage attachments" button under the additional options heading, right under the box you type your reply in. Pics would probably greatly help in answering your question.

Re: NEED HELP!!! 67 K10 1/2 ton burb

I would restore it to factory condition, it seams it is pretty rare so if you restored it intead of resto-mod, I think you would be money ahead, however, you know that whatever you put into the burb wont be what you sell it for, right? also a 4x4 burb wont just fly off the shelf if you need to sell it, so keep that in mind also.

If you have an experienced, qualified automotive appraiser local to you, go with that. Alot of us have to have our vehicles appraised to get an agreed value for insurance on them.

Re: NEED HELP!!! 67 K10 1/2 ton burb

Hey thanks for the advice guys. I have contacted an appraiser. And i think I am gonna stick to factory. And finish the body work before I get the appraisal. Quick question tho.. As i said i think it has the original engine.. its an I6 292., and it doesn't have much for horsepower... I think i read somewhere 100hp.. and i would like to put a bigger engine in it. would this hurt my resale?
