Gear Ratio question re-visited
Looks like there is alot of replies on different threads of gear ratio's but it's specific for builds/engines/tires...so here is mine. I have a 350 with stock th350 transmission. I am putting a 2 inch lift from skyjacker on it and 33" BFG KM2 tires on it. I will use it primarily as a short distance weekend driver 90% of the time on Highway..and rarely use it for off-road purposes... So.. do I go for
3.73 gears or 4.11 gears...or lower or higher....any help?

Re: Gear Ratio question re-visited
Thanks. It's aggressive enough for a little bit of off-roading, but it still handles the freeway OK.
And I love the look on the faces of the people who spent $50 grand on an SUV when I pull up, get out the tow strap, and pull them out of the snowbank they slid into. Maybe when the weather gets better I'll update my avatar. I have a grill and rally wheels now, but the tires and lift are still the same size. |
