I have a 65 c-10 with a 350, Holley yadda yadda...
When I adjust my carburetor linkage to open fully the pedal sits too high and won't allow the carburetor to return to idle.
When I adjust the throttle linkage so the pedal is a comfortable position, the carburetor won't open but about 2/3 the way open.
Is there different lengths of throttle arms?

Can you move the linkage rod closer to the center of the throttle shaft? that will give it a longer stroke.

V8s used a taller accelerator arm at the firewall-you prolly have a six cylinder throttle arm.

I thought that might be problem.
Yes, the truck was originally a six.
Does someone out there have one they could possibly photo and/or measure??

Added 2" to the throttle arm, pedal feels comfortable, opens fully when "matted" and returns to idle.

Hey, wade wells, I don't suppose you could snap a few photos of your modification and the throttle rod and linkage setup all the way from the firewall to the carb, could you. I am having the same sort of issue and the PO seriously had just about everything rigged up as poorly and cheaply as humanly possible.
