Motor mounts for 250 inline in 1946 Chevy truck
I have a question. I'd like to install a 250 six into my 1942 Chevy 1/2 ton truck. Can the motor mount towers and motor mounts out of a 1960-1963 Chevy truck work? Any info on other motor mounts and pics on how you did yours would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Runningiron

If ya need something custom you can go this route from Chassis Engineering. there for a 50ish chevy sedan but worked fairly well on my 46. They also came with the mounting plate that wrapped around the top of the frame rails but I didn't like the way it fit so I made my own. the passenger side looks similar only it's not offset like the driver side.

Heres a better pic of both sides with the Chassis Engineering frame plates. Depending on where you put your engine will determine wether or not you can use the plates. the problem you'll most likely have is there's a bump out on the side of the frame rails that will prevent the plate from sliding all the way down and seating nicely onto the top of the rail.
