Re: tire size how wide

Tire width is dependent on rim width, 10'' wide rims from a 4x4 can use a 275/60 /15 with no problems and will fit . also stated tire size is 28'' tall.

285/70/15 on the rear 235/70/15 on the front if you want the old school look. The 285/70/15's are only available from Coker Tire, so if they're too pricey, you can always run a 255/70/15.

Re: tire size how wide

My rims are said to have come off of a 73 4X4, they are only a tad wider than the stock 67- 72 rims. I was hoping to use a 60 series tire for the rear, but just not sure if the rims are wide enough. I am guess that they may be 7 inches wide.

Re: tire size how wide

I have my 255's on a 7" wide rim. Do you want your tires the same all the way around, so you can rotate 'em and such, or do you want wider in the rear for a staggered look? You could go with 255's all around, or 235 front/255 rear, 255front/275 rear...the options are knida endless, it all depends on what you want!

Re: tire size how wide

Going wider in the back, probably 235's up front, they are easy to find for the cheap......
