Steering Gear Box question...
I am wondering what I could do to get a faster gear box, meaning less turns lock to lock, I would love to go Rack and Pinion, but cant afford that so, for now I am looking into just a quick steer box I guess. (the more economical the better!!!)

Re: Steering Gear Box question...
Google "rebuilt power steering box" on the internet. That's how I found mine. I think it was about $180 plus the core charge which you get back when you send them your old box.
I don't think my truck turns as tight as it did before I installed the quick ratio box. |

Re: Steering Gear Box question...
Some of the later model boxes are also 3 1/2 turns LtL.They bolt right in except at some point they went to metric fittings. This is on PS.I doubt you could twist a manual that was QR.
