Steering columns
Found a good deal on a steering column, but it's a car column out of a 85 Buick with the key on the column. Does anyone have a column in their truck that not a truck or van? Post pics and what was done to make it fit. Thanks, Jeff.

Re: Steering columns
Im also interested in all the options available for columns. Being 6'5", I d like to have a tilt column, thats sits more shallow towards the dash, for as cheap as possible

Re: Steering columns
Just got a LMC catalog yesterday. In addition to the auto vs manual coloumns they also had them in 3 different lengths. I want to say the difference was up to 5"s. They were also 1/2 the price.

Re: Steering columns
I found this colum in a rv called "warrior" it was basicly a chev van with a fiber glass front end and of couse a rv body(kinda looked like a shuttle bus)
i peeked in it one day at the jy and noticed it had a tilt then noticed the auto shifter was on the dash a floor shift tilt well after pulling it it seemed short it was 4" shorter than my colum shift tilt the kid already has a auto floor shifter in his truck and this worked great too get rid of the 3ott colum he had too pull the intermedite shaft apart a bit. the pic was taken rite after it was put in an nothing was tidyed up yet. he also installed the wheel at the same time(idk why he didnt refinish it before installation) best part was the price $20. keep a eye out in the jy's for them odd looking rv's
