Which Wiper Blade Refills Work Best?
OK, I'm having trouble finding wiper blades for my '71. Rain-X refills don't fit at all and when I tried Trico Exact Fit the plastic connector snapped like a saltine! The old blades don't have a brand name on them and they've been on the truck so long I can't even remember where I bought them. I've had enough trial and error and would just like to know which blades fit these trucks best.

Are you just talking about stock refills? I believe these refills were from NAPA

Re: Which Wiper Blade Refills Work Best?
my 60 has the bayonet style arms with no screws. i am assuming all 67-72 are the same. i bought a pair of trico exact fit blades and the first time i turned them on, one snapped the clip part and fell over a$$ back to the parts house and bought a pair of higher priced wiper blades (Bosch) to which i found out won't even connect to a flat tipped bayonet style wiper arm.

Re: Which Wiper Blade Refills Work Best?
I've found that the house brand refills at Advance Auto work the best for me with the bayonet arm. I can't remember what they call them offhand, but it's just the cheap generic house brand they sell.
I tried most of the name brands and couldn't get them to work. Some don't even include the hardware to attach to a bayonet arm in the package anymore.

Anco 9115 Aero blade. Less than $4 ea. at Rock Auto and the only one that laid flat and didn't snap the first time I tried to use them.

Re: Which Wiper Blade Refills Work Best?
If you have the original arms then ANCO # 33-150 wiper blades, these are the rubber and stainless that clip to the end of your arm. I you just need the refill then ANCO wiper blade refill # U-15-R. These are getting a little harder to find at local parts stores but they can order them and they are plentiful on the Internet.

Re: Which Wiper Blade Refills Work Best?
I just use the refill blades. Anco from Autozone. They are plastic however so if your looking for exact original these aren't it. I think a pair is $5.99

Re: Which Wiper Blade Refills Work Best?
I'm looking for the blade assembly to go on the end of the arms. I can refill blades once I find some wipers. I am going to drive across town and look at the Trico 33-150. I think that seems to be the best one for our trucks. (next to original equipment)
I live in Sothern California so it's not a huge issue. I just want them so I can run my washers. LOL |

Re: Which Wiper Blade Refills Work Best?
Here's some pics I found on that interweb thing. I'm not sure if the TRICO brand comes with the gray connector pieces or what. I will look when I go to parts house. If they do....I will probably paint them like in this photo. I will take photos and post my results for others.

Re: Which Wiper Blade Refills Work Best?
The 33-150s have the correct stainless fitting to slip on your original arm
